Finally, a Maggie Card....

As promised I am back with a card.  I have been trying to blog for some time now, but blogger isn't making it easy for me to blog in a rush.  I still can't upload any photographs and have now had to upload via Chrome.  Luckily this seems to be working else I think I would have given up!

On Monday I caught up with my Auntie Chanelle for a much needed craft day.  We haven't seen much of each other over Christmas so we arranged to craft in the afternoon while my Mum babysat Ruby.  Ruby hasn't been very well but luckily my Mum said that she was fine.  I don't think she would have said even if she wasn't ;-)

I was very naughty as I was meant to be providing the embellies for our card, but due to being back and forth with Ruby to the Doctors and then A & E on Sunday night I didn't manage to get them so everything you see here was provided by Auntie Chanelle, including the gorgeous image and honeycomb paper which she has now got me obsessing over (or should I say my Mum because she thinks its fab!).  There is lots of perks to having an Auntie that shares the same hobby, but its not good when she has everything I want!!! She is lovely and lets me borrow whatever I want though!

Bonnie was coloured with Promarkers and the papers are a mixture of First Edition and Magnolia.  I love the tone of this card and despite not buying this image, this card really makes me want to!

Just a close up of Bonnie.  I think I am going to let my Dad have this card for my Mum to give to her on Valentines day because I think she will be the only person that would really appreciate this card.  It would be wasted on Martin!!!

Finally, I couldn't blog without posting a little pic of my little lady!  It was taken at my Mums house last week and if you look close enough you can see her gripping onto my chain because the crafty little thing doesn't want to be put down!!!!  My little Max is also sleeping in the background bless him!

I hope you all have a great weekend, we are staying at my Mums tonight to save a very cold journey home later so a lazy night is in order!

I hope to be back soon with some more of my cards that I have made and have been trying to blog without much luck until now.

While my little angel sleeps I thought that I would come onto my little blog and wish everyone a Happy New Year even if it is late!  I had a lovely Christmas with the family, but little Ruby managed to sleep through most of it with me and her Dad opening all her presents!!  As usual my Mum, Dad & little Brother spent the day and night at our house.

2012 has been a fantastic year for me and I hope that 2013 will be another good one.  I am now on the countdown to my holiday in the summer with the family which I just can't wait for.  We didn't have a holiday last year because I was pregnant and we were trying to save the pennies!  Ideally, I don't want time to fly that much because I want to enjoy every minute of my maternity leave before going back to work in the summer.

Ruby is now 5 weeks old on this Thursday coming and she seems allot more settled and I am managing to get a little more sleep at night.  She still seems to be a bit of a vampire though!!

I have been managing to craft when Ruby sleeps or when Martin takes full control for a couple of hours at night and I have lots of orders to do.  I have been really good and saved some pennies from my Christmas orders so I am hoping to have a big craft shop soon with my Mum!  I just want to build it up a little more so I can get what I want without having to think about it!  Its also a shopping spree to look forward to!

My next post WILL be a card and I hope to get back into a routine with my blogging now that I am settled.

But for now here is a little picture of us on Christmas day at Mums.  Little Miss Christmas doesn't look amused........

and here she is fast asleep now with her Teddy Taggie blanket (photo is wrong way round, but I have no idea on how to flip it!!!!)

Right I am off to do a bit more blog hopping before Ruby wakes up and also prepare myself for Weight Watchers tonight to shed my baby weight!  I will be the size I want to be for my holidays!

Love

Baby Ruby Lilly Marper xxx

Evening Everyone

After a very traumatic week I finally arrived home with my baby on Saturday. After a week waiting to be induced I was finally started into labour on Thursday evening and after 22 hours of labour I was rushed into theatre for an emergency c- section.

To say I'm relieved is an understatement, but here is a picture of my beautiful baby girl:

I am very happy buy so tired and sore. Thanks to the best Mum in the world i am managing to get a routine going but it doesnt help when you have a little vampire who sleeps all day and awake all night!!!

Hello and an update

Once again I have been very rubbish at posting on my little blog.  I have been very busy over the last couple of weeks and have had lots of ups and downs with my pregnancy again!!!  I finally finished work a couple of weeks ago so I have been much better since I could rest up at home.

I am now 37 weeks pregnant and after an hospital appointment last Thursday I have found out that I am now going to be induced next Saturday 24th November at 38 weeks due to the complications and pain that I am now in.

On a plus side we did get to see our little girl again on Thursday when I had another scan to see if my placenta had moved and reality is now kicking in me thinks :-)

I am very excited, but very scared (of the labour!!!) at the same time!

I have been busy making lots of cards for orders that my Mum has taken for me so I am hopefully going to get them finished before I go into Hospital.  Other than that I am ready to go for next week!

I hope to post very soon with pictures of my beautiful little girl when she arrives and with some Christmas cards that I have been making over the last few months to get organised!  For once I think I may have done it this year!

Making a start on my Christmas cards.....

Hi All

I hope you are all enjoying your Sunday.  I am having a very lazy day today for a change.

I haven't been well over the last couple of weeks and I have been signed off work with high blood pressure and terrible swelling of my feet and legs so I  have had to to rest at home.  Only 8 weeks to go and counting!

I have coloured a few images to pass my time and I have started to make my Christmas cards to try and be organised.

My Mum bought me this lovely Urban Stamp - Tulip Christmas which is called Mistletoe Friends and I love it so I made a simple Christmas card ideal for a couple.

I didn't use any designer paper on this card at all and I love the effect.  I also used a 7 x 5 card for something different because I always tend to stick to 8 x 8 or 6 x 6 which can get a little boring.

I coloured the image with my Promarkers and added some snowflakes using my MS punch.  The ribbon is from my stash along with the brown button.

I loved making the card because it was nice to do something different from my usual cute cards and it was a nice change to get a different end result rather than the same old, same old!

I am off now to have dinner and then get my feet up and watch some TV - I can't miss Downton Abbey or Homeland so no colouring for me tonight!

Love,

Monster Mash

Hello,

I know that it has been a very long time since I blogged; however things have been a little hectic for me.  I am now 30 weeks pregnant and since the last time I blogged I have been in hospital and had one thing after another happen so its been a rough road so far.  I always knew it would be, but not long now so I am just trying to hang in there.  I have 4 weeks left at work so I am on a massive count down till I finish because I am so tired.

Anyway, onto a card that I have recently made using one of the new Kenny K digis.  I just love this one because it is so fun!

Excuse the very poor pictures but its been a long time so I am a little out of touch I am afraid.  The papers are from Bearly Mine and are digis which my Auntie Chanelle told me about - they are fab so I thought I would give them a go.  The spider web border is my beloved new MS punch which my Mum ordered for me.  I love it!

I have used the usual stickles and my trusty spiders from the Asda which I have had for my Halloween cards for the last 2 years.

Hopefully it won't be long till the next time I blog, but at the moment I am crafting alot but I have very little time to blog with work and trying to sort the house out for the baby.  On a plus side Martin has finished the nursery which we are both very proud of so I may pop back with some pictures when the finishing touches are done!

Love,
