NEC & 2 Birthday Cards

I had hoped to blog at the weekend, but I have been really busy. Saturday I went to an all day scrapbooking class at the Craft Den. We did 3 great pages and it was a lovely day.

Sunday I went to the NEC with my Sister. It was a very early start and putting the clocks forward didn't help!!! We had a great day though and really enjoyed ourselves. My Sister tagged along with me for company.

I loved the Magnolia & Lily of the Valley stand - they were without a doubt my favourites!!

I have made two birthday cards for my Cousin, Rochelle. Her birthday is tomorrow and I thought I would ink my new Magnolia!!! I bought a couple of the new pirate images from Magnolia along with a mini stamp, but when I saw this old Magnolia image I just had to have it!! My Sister didn't like it all, but I thought it would be nice to have an old one!! I like her anyway.

I coloured her with my copics and used my new MS punch. The paper with blue roses on it is Magnolia. This is the card I made from me, my sister & my little brother.

The second is the one I have made for my Mum. I got my WOJ Willow out and decided to make a card that I have made before. I changed it a little and added a bit of bling, but I just think this card looks effective. I have added some spotty silver ribbon with a little pin.

Right I am going to go back to mounting my new stamps so they are all ready to use over the bank holiday weekend.

Green & Yellow Ladybug

I decided to make a card using my Ladybug Magnolia, but I decided not to use the typical colours of red. I think I prefer her as a proper Ladybird though I have to say and I am not really sure on using different colours for her.

I coloured her with my copics and used Basic Grey Origins paper with yellow spotty ribbon!

I hope you like it (I am not sure!!)

2 Birthday Cards & my Tissue Paper Flowers

Hello, I hope you are having a nice weekend.

I had my second Bridesmaid fitting yesterday and it was really good. It was 13 weeks yesterday till my wedding so I am getting very excited.

I made a couple of cards last night for two orders that I had.

The first is using my new Ruby stamp from the Craft Den. I have coloured this image a couple of times and didn't know what to use it with. I coloured it again with purple last night and put it with my craftwork card papers that I have had for a little while. I added one of my tissue paper flowers with a charm along with some ribbon.

Here is the second I made using my favourite WOJ stamp. I have coloured her in pink for a different look because I usually use black. I used the same papers, but with a pink design and added a pink tissue paper flower.

Hope you like them!

Old Stamp & Back to Normal xx

I haven't blogged for a little while because my laptop had a virus so I had to take it to be fixed. Hopefully it will be okay now (touch wood!!).

I have had a busy weekend. Me and Martin went wedding ring shopping today and then we went to my Mums for sunday dinner. I then wanted to come home and make a card my Mum had asked me to make for her Friend's birthday at work, but I didn't feel too good. I feel a bit better now so decided to make a card.

This stamp was the first stamp my Mum ever bought me. I had a hip replacement nearly 5 years ago and while I was off work I bought a craft box from QVC and thats when I started crafting because it gave me something to do during the day when my Mum was at work and I would get bored.

The stamp was from a local craft shop that has now closed down. I really like it, but she was at the bottom of my wooden stamps box and I haven't used her for a long time. She is a stamp that doesn't need alot adding to her soo she can make quite a quick and easy card. The flower is prima and I have placed a pearl on top of a flat head brad (thanks Lynne for showing me this!) and placed inside my new spacer from the Craft Den to make the flower centre.

I cut the image out on my mega nestie and also mounted her on a off yellow colour paper. I used my new Basic Grey Origins pad from the Craft Den and although it is new I have used this so much - there is hardly anything left!!!

Hope you like it!

Something Different.....

I wanted to try something different so I thought I would have a go at making my own tissue paper flowers. I cut them out with my new Nellie C from the Craft Den and edged the flowers with worn lipstick distress ink.

I then scrunched the flowers up because they looked pretty flat without doing this. I then mounted them on top of one another and added a button from a collection that my Mum picked up for me on Friday as a centre.

I used black flock artylicious paper from the Craft Den with thick pink velvet ribbon (my Mum picked this up for me too!!!). I used some old Twinkle Type letters that I got from the Craft Den ages and ages ago to write Mum.

I made the card for my Mum to give to my Nanan for Mothers Day. She loved it when she saw it this morning.

Charleston Tilda

I have made a card with my new Tilda from the Craft Den - Charleston Tilda. She is a really good image for "girly" cards.

I went for a colour combination of Chocolate and pink - I really like it.

Hope you like it!
