Wedding Wine Box

I hope everyone is having a good weekend. I have managed to do some crafting this morning. I was up early because I couldn't sleep so I have been sat at the table crafting.

When I got married my Auntie Chanelle made me this and I couldn't stop looking at it. It was beautiful and I would never think to have a go at anything like this, she is so clever and has great ideas. My Mum has even saved it because she would like to use it as a vase for flowers, she liked it that much.

My biggest fan, MY MUM asked if I would be able to have a go at one. Her Friend gets married in September and she said that she would love to give this as a gift like my Auntie Chanelle did for me. I was unsure, but after collecting a couple of boxes to see which would be best to try I decided to have a go and here it is......

This was my practice run; however it won't be wasted because my Mum works with someone whose sister gets married soon so I have done this for her. I used my new Magnolia wedding stamps, but used some cheap papers that I got from the last NEC because I didn't dare use my Magnolia paper in case it went wrong.

I used my circle & heart nestie and actually followed a great tutorial that Kim did in the Fairy Tale Magnolia Ink magazine. I added some flowers that I recently bought from the Craft Den.

I used my MS branch punch and also added a lovely pin with some beads that are my new obsession.

I know that mine is not a patch on my Auntie Chanelle's or the one that Kim made but I am really pleased with it. Hope you like it.

Anything Goes - Week 7

Hello,

I am sorry that I have been such a bad blogger since the wedding, but I have just struggled for ideas lately - the wedding turned my brain to mush. I kept looking at my craft stash and have been thinking about what to do over the last couple of weeks instead of doing it. I have made lots of scrapbooking pages at my weekly scrapbooking class at the Craft Den so I have done some crafting - mainly scrapping my wedding pictures!!

I have not taken part in the Craft Den's challenge blog, Anything Goes so I thought that I would give it a go this week. This week's theme is "Sparkle & Shine".

I thought I would try making a Christmas card for a change and here it is. My sparkle and shine is the stickles that I have put everywhere and the mirry Craftwork Cards Xmas round sentiment, tucked behind my image slightly.... hope this counts!!

I have used my "Under the Mistletoe" Magnolia paper and one of my favourite Tilda's. I have coloured with a mixture of Copics and Promarkers. I have used my MS punch for the snowflakes - a must for Christmas cards!!

I hope you like it and I will try and fit in some more crafting before I go on my honeymoon in 9 days time - can't wait!!

More Photos

Today is my last day off, back to work tomorrow. I don't think I could have picked a better week off if I had tried. I will go back to work tomorrow as Mrs Marper with photos in hand so I am quite looking forward to seeing my work friends.

Some more photos for you. Me & my little brother Owen. He didn't stay in his suite long. He dashed straight off after the ceremony to get changed into one of his football shirts!!!!

Me & Martin at the evening reception

Getting ready on the morning of the wedding. It was very stressful because I thought that we had left all my accessories for my bridesmaids at home. Luckily we found them. Martin had put them in a safe place.

My Sister, my baby Niece, nephew & my Dad. If you look closely you can see me and Martin in the background outside the little church

Lastly, my fairy bridesmaid from the back to show her beautiful wings

It will be back to normal next week because I have started to make my "Thank you" cards.

Quick Post xx

Just a quick post from me today and it may be my last post before the wedding. I don't think that I am going to get anymore crafting done before I go.

All my favours are now done. Auntie Chanelle designed them and we sat making them together on Tuesday evening. I have spent the weekend writing my place cards, sorting my table plan and making little activity bags for the younger children to have at the table instead of favours.

I have recieved some beautiful cards already from my crafting friends so I will have to post them all when I get back.

I thought that I would show you my card that I made for my Dad to give to my Mum for her birthday, which was last Tuesday. I made the card last weekend, but forgot to upload it.

I have used my Charleston Tilda and Tim's new shabby papers. I have seen a couple of cards on blogs where lace has been wrapped around the image. I love this look; however I think it does look better on a round image rather than a rectangle like mine.

Right that's it from me. I will be back after Saturday 19th June when I will then be Mrs Kerry Marper.
